Frequently asked questions
Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our platform. We have listed the answers for you. Is your question not listed? Don't worry! You can always contact our customer service via [email protected]
Which file is suitable for social media?
All digital files offered are suitable for posting on social media. However, the 1080px file is precisely tailored to the size in which photos are displayed on Instagram, making it most suitable for Instagram.
I would like to print a photo. Which digital file should I order for this?
- A 3500px file is suitable for prints up to 20x30 cm.
- For larger prints, we recommend the 'original'. This file is at least 6000px in size (depending on the camera used) and suitable for almost all print sizes.
What does 'post-check' mean?
If you order a photo including post-check, it will be optimised and checked for sharpness. During each event, all photos are checked individually, but with large numbers, an occasional blurred photo may slip through.
The following is done during post-checking:
- Optimisation of photos in poor lighting conditions (e.g. noise reduction).
- Adjustments to contrast and colours.
- Cropping corrections.
- Application of the recognisable PhotoMonkeys look.
Digital files with post-checking are available in 2024px, 3500px and original resolution.
Can I use the photos for my social media?
Unless otherwise agreed with the photographer, all photos offered via the PhotoMorgana platform are for personal use only. You may post them on your private social media accounts.
Would you like to use a photo for business purposes? Please contact PhotoMonkeys for permission.
How do you order a download?
Check out our short guide that explains step by step how to order a download. This guide is easy to follow and saves you time.
When can I download my photos?
This depends on the quality you have ordered. A small image, suitable for web use (not for printing), is available immediately.
For a higher resolution, the photographer may apply a final 'finishing touch'. In that case, it may take up to four days before the photos are available. When the photographer is ready, a 'download' link will appear on the order status page.

How do I find my photos?
Use our search options to search by name or date of the event. Can't find your photos? Feel free to contact us at [email protected].
How can I pay?
We offer various payment options. See our full overview for details.
Why is my download so small?
The file size has been optimised with compression, so it is smaller without any loss of quality.
If you have ordered a download 'for web use', you will receive a low-resolution file (800 pixels on the longest side). This is not suitable for printing, but perfect for websites and social media.
Can I receive the photo in a different crop?
Our photographers do their best to deliver the perfect composition. If you still want a modification or a more zoomed-in version, please contact us at [email protected] with the photo number and your specific request. We will discuss this with the photographer and look at the possibilities.
Did you order a download 'of the original'?
Then you will receive the file in high resolution. This file is also used for printing and other products.
How is the cost of a download determined?
The price is determined by the photographer. With a download, you are essentially purchasing the digital 'negative', which allows you to make unlimited prints. Please note that this does not entitle you to purchase the copyright.
Can I change an order I have placed?
An order cannot be changed once the image has been downloaded.
